Insights From Weekly Exploration
Ever heard about creative outlet?
A creative outlet is something through which you can express yourself constructively.
Creating one has been the best decision I have made.
Examples include:
• Writing
• Singing
• Dancing
• Drawing
• Painting
• Playing a musical instrument
• Etc.
Now, the question arises: how can you construct a creative outlet for yourself?
This requires a lot of self-reflection if you want things to run smoothly.
The first step is to create an ideal lifestyle.
Know what you want from your day-to-day life.
Create a life you don’t need to escape from.
As Dan Koe said, create an anti-vision of your ideal life.
After forming a vision of your ideal lifestyle and anti-vision, you need to observe.
Observe where you are naturally attracted.
Do you love to read books, sing songs, dance, or play a musical instrument?
After identifying what interests you, channel your creative outbursts into that activity.
This has two advantages:
• You don’t have to plan something you’re already comfortable doing.
• It becomes a stimulating experience for you.

My Insights on Drifting
1) If you know that you are drifting, the first step is to stop doing what you are doing.
2) Now, observe any external things that are influencing or disturbing you:
• Phone notifications
• TV sound from the other room
• Any type of sounds that are disturbing your focus
• Any type of scenery or image in front of you that is irritating you
3) Completely remove them from your environment. If it is not possible, try to minimize their effect on you.
4) After taking care of the external situation, or when there is no problem with your environment, focus on your internal state:
• Are you feeling bored?
• Is the activity in front of you getting harder, and you want to gain pleasure from small habits like scrolling through your phone when you tell yourself it will be only five minutes, which will become an hour?
• Did any thought pop up in your mind that won't let you focus on the task in front of you?
5) Actions you can take when your internal state is the problem (other than discipline):
• Write down your thoughts on paper or a notepad, promising yourself that it will be taken care of when the activity in front is completed.
• Do the thing even if it feels boring or hard, knowing that you are only delaying inevitable pain. (You should face it now or delay it for a later future. If you ask me, do it now. You may find it hard now, but your future self will thank you.)
6) Regularly taking short breaks will help you if you can return to the activity and continue it.
7) If you find your task difficult to do, ask yourself, "Is it the right fit for me?" As Naval Ravikant says, “Building specific knowledge will feel like play to you but will look like work to others.”
